Kayla is a graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor's in Exercise Science and an alum of the Redline Express Dance Team at ISU. She grew up in the competitive dance world through Stage Door Dance Academy in IL, starting at the age of 3. She has trained in all forms of dance and attended Nationals as well as High School State competitions. Kayla’s interest in health care started in high school, watching peers experience injuries and their rehabilitation process. Through the struggles of staying physically and mentally healthy as a dancer while balancing being a student-athlete, she knew she wanted to go into a field that treats performing artists. Now, she has taken on the role of Program Director for Achieve Orthopedic Sports Institute in parallel with the Course and Programming Director for MedGym. She is an integral part of building educational courses for MedGym, from the administration side to content creation. Outside of work, Kayla loves to spend time with her family and friends, travel, go to concerts, and continue her education in the health and wellness fields. In the future, Kayla plans to return to a graduate program in a health-related field.
